Yoni Yoga for Samhain

  • St. Martin's Community Centre La Rue Maze St Martins, GY4 6LL Guernsey (map)

Join Emma to honour the final turning of the wheel (the end of the old Pagan year)

The dark half of the year commences at Samhain and it is said the veil between the worlds is at its thinnest. It is a truly magical time where boundaries dissolve and all is laid bare - it is time to honour and offer hospitality to our ancestors.

Death is always followed by rebirth, so let’s honour the Pagan new year through the practice of Yoni Yoga, resting and reflecting on the past and dreaming new beginnings.

Remember the seeds now hidden in the earth will germinate in its season – time to look for the seeds inside ourselves.

What’s Yoni Yoga?

Yoni Yoga is a nurturing, healing and transformative practice that encourages a deepening connection between the light in the heart space and the creative energy in the womb space (even if you don’t have a womb there is an energy).

Together we will immerse in the beautiful energy this practice creates and come deeper home to ourself.

This approach to practice has helped Emma enormously in her life, essentially helping her to come home to a deeper sense of Self and restoring balance to her menstrual cycle, helping her navigate IVF, pregnancy, birth, the post-natal period and into the peri-menopause.

It is an absolute boon for women of all ages. The practice itself incorporates various tantric yoga* techniques including asana (gentle postures), pranayama (breathing exercises), mantras (sound), mudras (hand gestures) and Yoga Nidrā (a guided relaxation). You are encouraged to close your eyes an ego within.

*Please note that classical tantric yoga has its roots going back 1,500 years and is a spiritual practice centred on freedom through daily life and should not be confused with western neotrantra’s emphasis on sexual energy.
