A Friday night Yin journey to honour Late Summer (and the new moon!)
Practice Yin with Grace before gathering in circle to reflect on your Earth element
Join Grace to honour Late Summer, a season we tend to brush over in the West, to feel into this energetic shift as the light begins to wane.
Late Summer, sometimes referred to as ‘The Great Pause’, is a time of harvest, gratitude, reflection, transition & nourishment.
It’s a moment to soak in the sweetness of your memories this year, to feel satisfied with a full cup which will sustain you through the months ahead.
Indulge in a grounding 75 minute practice of earth element Yin, targeting stomach and spleen meridian channels, before gathering in circle around an alter adorned with offerings of flowers, crystals, oracle cards, chocolate and maybe some baked goodies. Reiki will be given where possible.
We will have a natter and journal on a few questions of self-inquiry connected to the earth element before we close with intention.
This class is ideal for anyone looking to slow down, soothe their nervous system, harmonise their energy flow, or explore their inner landscape & elemental nature.
Yin
Yin is a slow-paced, inward practice that aims to penetrate and nourish the deep Yin tissues (tendons & ligaments & fascia)
By holding poses on the floor, supported by blocks, bolsters & blankets for around 3-5 minutes, and following each pose with a rebound (lying down) - fluid is released hydrating connective tissues, improving flexibility, freedom & support.
The practice itself will have emphasis on your earth element, which relates to the season of Late Summer, and targets your stomach and spleen meridian channels.
There will be moments of inner-enquiry and moments of spaciousness, so you can really connect with what’s alive for you.
It’s your practice, so if you choose to lie in rebound the entire time then go for it!
The circle
Please bring a pen and paper so we can use this time to reflect on a few journal prompts.
We will have a natter, enjoy the goodies and the offerings, before closing with intention.
Please note
We will have to modify your practice if you are hyper mobile or pregnant (at any stage), so please let Grace know in advance.
This class is completely beginner friendly, and partiularly suited to those of you in need of some inner nourishment.
