Weekly Yin & Reiki with Grace

Join Grace to melt into the weekend through the practice of Yin whilst receiving Reiki.

Harmonise your energy flow, nourish your elemental body and bring your nervous system into a state of rest & digest through a series of long-held poses, with the help of bolsters, blocks, blankets and cushions.

Combining the power of Yin and Reiki in a healing container creates a deep sense of calm - a truly beautiful way to enter the weekend!

Yin 

Yin is a slow-paced, inward practice that aims to penetrate and nourish the deep Yin tissues (tendons & ligaments & fascia).

By holding poses on the floor, supported by blocks, bolsters & blankets for around 3-5 minutes, and following each pose with a rebound (lying down) - fluid is released hydrating connective tissues, improving flexibility, freedom & support. 

Working with the energetics of TCM and through the lens of the five element theory, there will be moments of inner-enquiry and moments of spaciousness so you can really connect with what’s alive for you. 

It’s your practice, so if you choose to lie in rebound the entire time then go for it!

Reiki

Reiki is a Japanese healing modality that translates to ‘universal life force energy’ and is received through gentle touch.

Some people experience this energy as a mild tingling, heat, cooling, or flushing sensation (amongst much more).

It helps to release stagnant energy, promotes healing and induces a deep sense of relaxation.

Grace will try to give everyone in the class Reiki where possible.

Please note

We will have to modify your practice if you are hyper mobile or pregnant (at any stage), so please let Grace know in advance. 

This class is beginner friendly, absolutely nothing is expected of you.

Beginners welcome.

When? Every Friday evening - 6pm - 7:30pm

Where? Upstairs at St Martins Community Centre

Cost? £25 please pay in cash on the day or via bank transfer

What to bring? A thick blanket or extra mat so there is extra padding underneath you. Bring blankets, cushions, socks or bits to keep you cozy.
