Usher in the new year with an open heart and deeper connection to the divine
Join the Bhakti Collective, Guernsey’s local kirtan group, as they kindly lead a session for the Beinspired community to welcome in 2026.
Kirtan live is on another level to kirtan online and there are six members of the group with instruments, who are deeply passionate about kirtan. Combine this with all of our Reiki hearts and I imagine we can create quite some energy!
For those of you who are not familiar, kirtan is a form of Bhakti Yoga (devotional yoga), as a meditation or prayer, whereby we sing sacred mantras (such as Om Namah Shivaya) as a group to a simple repetitive melody, in a call-and-response format.
The repetition of the mantra and melody allows you to sink deep into sacred words and vibrational resonance, allowing you to connect with your heart and soul.
A truly beautiful practice which you do not need to be a good singer to take part in!
When: Saturday 3rd January
Time: 4pm - 5:15pm
Where: Cobo Community Centre (upstairs MR2)
Cost: £10
About Bhakti Collective
Bhakti Collective was born after Freya and Emily returned from India a few years ago, carrying with them a deep love for kirtan. Their experiences there were profoundly nourishing - spiritually rich moments that touched them so deeply they felt compelled to share the practice with others.
Since then, Bhakti Collective has blossomed into a group of six wonderful members, each joining at exactly the right moment - true divine timing. Kirtan remains their passion, and they feel continually inspired as they witness others discovering the transformative power of mantra.
