Breathe and rest

  • St. Martin's Community Centre La Rue Maze GY46LL (map)

Experience the positive benefits of yogic breathing exercises, followed by a Yoga Nidra, a powerful meditation technique, finishing with a touch of sound, raising the vibration of the cells in your body.

The breath positively changes how we feel, increasing prana in the body, calming our mind, supporting our digestion and increasing our vibrancy and centredness.

Together we will explore various yogic breathing exercises (pranayama) so you can experience the benefits for yourself.

A Yoga Nidra will follow, which is a powerful meditation technique (practiced lying down) inducing complete physical, emotional and mental relaxation. You can work with a Sankalpa (like an intention/affirmation) to assist with healing, transformation and manifestation.

The session will finish with a brief touch of sound, raising the vibration of the cells in your body and encouraging healing and grounding before heading back out into the world.

An act of self-love, this session is suitable for anyone who wishes to slow down, go within, nourish, nurture, balance, centre, increase vibrancy and consciousness and come home to themselves on a deeper level again.

Open to all, no prior experience required, students can sit in a chair if easier than sitting on the floor. Lying can be done on one’s back or side, as needed to allow a deeper rest.

When: Tuesday 3rd June 6pm - 7pm

Where: St Martins Community Centre (upstairs)

Cost: £15 per person

Bring: Something comfortable to sit on, perhaps a blanket and a cushion, and whatever you need to rest easily during relaxation, maybe another blanket and cushion, perhaps an eye pillow!
