A Walk on the Wild Side

A fairy wish…

A walk on the wild side to one of our most famous spots, the Fairy Ring, located at Pleinmont, widely considered to be home to some of the most supernatural happenings on this magical fairy isle.

Local tales speak of fairies and elves who danced here at night, leading to a superstition that walking around the ring three times whilst making a wish would see it granted by the fairies.

Please note that Pouques are the most traditional form of Guernsey fairy, with local folklore portraying them as cunning, dwarfish creatures. It was thought they would attach themselves to people or houses, only becoming visible at night.

Join me to walk along the road to the fairy ring (look out for the seals) where we’ll sit and settle into the space in silent meditation, connecting with the energies of the land, before walking around the circle three times, making a wish and walking the wild way back.

WHEN: Thursday 6 August (half moon) at 7 - 8pm

WHERE: Pleinmont

COST: £15

BRING: Something to sit on, maybe a blanket. A dry robe is ideal.
