Fundraiser: Yoni Yoga for Bright Tights

Yoni Yoga for gynaecological wellbeing - In memory of my friend Marie Black and all those other women who have lost their lives to gynaecological cancer

Please join me in circle for a yoni yoga class to raise money for Bright Tights, an amazing charity which supports local women affected by gynaecological cancers, supports research into the prevention, early diagnosis and treatment of gynaecological cancers and shares the knowledge on what is normal and what to look out for to promote early diagnosis.

Yoni yoga is a deliciously gentle, nourishing and nurturing practice for women at all stages of life. ‘Yoni’, a Sanskrit term, means ‘womb’ or ‘place to call home’ and is centred on helping us connect more fully with the sacred and spiritual portal of our womb space (whether we have a womb or not, there is a space) - which holds the secret of a woman’s true power - and the compassionate and loving guidance of the heart space. In the process we may access deeper levels of inner wisdom, intimacy, love, compassion, intuition, creativity, sexuality, wellbeing and consciousness. This may help us to heal from our patriarchal wounding and various trauma, which often result in low self-esteem, low self-worth, lack of love for self and an inability to forgive and let go of our past. This approach to practice will support us on our journey to wholeness as well as addressing any menstrual and menopausal imbalances, sexual concerns, fertility issues and/or general loss of wellbeing.

This transformational Tantric approach to practice includes asana (postures), pranyama (breathing techniques), mudras (hand gestures to create a certain energy), yantra (visualisation) mantra (use of sound) and yoga nidra (a deep relaxation).

It is a gentle approach to practice, all are welcome, options are given where needed.

We’ll have oracle cards and chocolate too!
