Beltany and Bundaron

We visited a beautiful client in Northern Ireland yesterday and were tickled how one minute it’s all Irish number plates and Kms and the next it’s UK plates and miles.

She lives in a beautiful spot, not far from Beltany stone circle, which has been on my list for a while now. It didn’t disappoint. The sun was shining, the swallows were swishing and swooping and the hawthorns blooming.

The boys went wild, while I sat against a stone and marvelled at the site. It’s huge! 64 stones, maybe 80 initially. The ancients were really very clever. It has such incredible views.

We’re in County Donegal now, after four nights down in the rurality and neolithic heartland (from a roots perspective) of County Mayo. We have spent time in County Sligo too visiting the Neolithic complexes of Carrowmore and Carrowkeel, the latter remains my favourite, do love a cairn.

Now we’re in Bundaron, the surf capital of Ireland, reminding me of my surfing days. It felt a bit intense after the peace of our previous place, but we have gotten into it and can highly recommend any of the places we have visited, Ireland is kind, green, healing and incredibly loving - and it is super easy to access from Guernsey.

We visited the fairy chair yesterday, to make a wish - it has some energy! We also stood, Eben and I, on the fiery bridge. I also managed to swim in this cool little pool down amongst the reef.

I finally finished writing something I started after Shetland, around grief and the letting go process.

Moon is waxing, looking forward to the sacred walk on Thursday with some of you to tap into Gaia and moon energy.

Love Emma x
