A Yin workshop celebrating Yang

We need both!

Traditionally Beltane was a time to celebrate light and fertility, using fire to purify & protect both people and animals for the new Summer cycle.

We will explore a Yin practice with more Yang emphasis (movement) to align with nature’s rhythms.

This is a wonderful opportunity to feed your inner flame and connect with your creative life force energy as this season naturally demands more of us.

The session

The 75 minute Yin session is designed to target your 12 major meridian channels, which nourishes your elemental body as a whole through the lens of TCM. Prompts for self-inquiry will be weaved throughout.

From here we’ll rest into a cooling Yoga Nidra, helping to calm any excess heat.

We’ll close in a cocoon of Reiki and sound to raise your vibration, supporting your growth on a cellular level.

What is a Yin practice?

Yin is a slow-paced, inward practice that aims to penetrate and nourish the deep Yin tissues (tendons & ligaments & fascia).

By holding poses on the floor, supported by blocks, bolsters & blankets for around 3-5 minutes, and following each pose with a rebound (lying down) - fluid is released hydrating connective tissues, improving flexibility, freedom & support.

It’s your practice, so if you choose to lie in rebound the entire time then go for it!

This class is completely beginner friendly, nothing is expected of you.

IMPORTANT!

We will have to modify your practice if you are hyper mobile or pregnant (at any stage), so please let Grace know in advance.
