Opening to Soul

Opening to Soul

“When we have the possibility to know, but we are unwilling to investigate, we ignore. As soon as the underlying curiosity wakes up, it starts to dissolve and digest the ignorance, eating it away and transforming it into love. It is only through the love of life, that we start to understand it. It is only through the love of our body that we come to know it in an intimate and personal way, your own unique way, based upon your taste and love.

Beneath the body lies the psyche, which connects to the soul.

Sit down and open yourself to the many layers of your being. Open to your joy and just watch the streaming of it all. Allow your fears, that keep your body tightly closed in a defensive grip, to be digested through longing for the soul’s samadhi, a hidden hearth deep inside our outward journey”. Angela Farmer and Victor Van Kooten

The seven chakras encompass all that we are, that we feel and how we think, how we love and transform, how we create and express ourselves, or how we stay stuck. The chakras are like gateways to the soul, they allow us to gain awareness, to change, to become lighter brighter, more of who we truly are on the inside, and less of who we falsely identify with.

It is through the chakras that we perceive our reality and experience life, not only how we relate to others and to the world, but how we relate to self, and this in turn affects our perception of reality. The chakras are our everything, the rainbow body, our truest expression.

Our soul is constantly trying to communicate with us through our bodies, through our aches, pains and tensions, through illness and accident. But it doesn’t speak the same language as our rational mind so we need to be attentive, turn inwards, quieten the thinking, analytical and rational mind, be still, feel deep inside and see if we might hear the whisperings of the soul, your soul, trying to align you to your true potential in this life time.

We’ll journey the chakras together, weaving together asana (postures), pranayama (breath), enquiry and journaling. We’ll see if we might discover and uncover a limiting belief, an unhelpful thought pattern, stubborn unforgiveness, loss of love for self, toxicity, anything that might hold you back from shining brightly and living a life of purpose and potential; opening to soul in the process.

The session will finish with a yoga nidra where we have the opportunity to establish a Sankalpa or intention for the practice to orientate our lives in a more positive and soulful direction.

Please note that while the session will be held in circle, there will not be any group sharing.
