Yummy organic granola recipe (chocolate option)

I love this granola recipe, it’s really satisfying to make and feels really good to eat!

Ingredients

4 cups of organic oats

1 cup of mixed and crushed organic nuts/seeds

1/2 cup organic maple syrup

1/4 cup of organic coconut oil

1/2tsp of sea salt

1tsp of vanilla essence

If you wanted to make it a chocolate granola then you need 3 tablespoons of organic cacao or cocoa, a good quality organic dark chocolate too, which you can break into chunks or chips

How to make

  1. Pop oven to approx 150 degrees and line baking pans with parchment paper

2. Melt the coconut oil and mix with the maple syrup and vanilla essence

3. Measure out the oats and nuts/seeds into a bowl and add the wet mix (add the 3 tablespoons of cacao/cocoa if making it chocolate)

4. Stir well before laying out on baking trays and pressing down with a spatula

5. Pop in the oven and bake to meet your requirements. I usually bake for 20-25 minutes in my oven, but in other ovens it may take longer, maybe 30 to 45 minutes. Turn half way through so it bakes evenly.

If you are making chocolate granola then add the chunks/chips of dark chocolate and let them melt.

When cool, store in glass jars and eat at your leisure with home made almond milk!

Enjoy!
