There is no doubt that the breath changes things. If we breathe badly we can feel lethargic, unmotivated and crappy. However, if we breathe well, we feel vibrant and energised, the mind calms down, we even digest better, and life has more potential somehow. Together we will practice various yogic breathing exercises (pranayama) so you can feel for yourself how the breath positively changes things.
We will then use sound through the use of Sanskrit, the most ancient language in the world, containing the most ancient teachings on yoga, which are still relevant to us today as they were back then. Sanskrit has an energetic resonance, and chanting it, helps to raise our vibration, expanding our consciousness and further enlightening us.
The session will finish with a relaxation, which might be guided or might be silent, either way you get to lie down and absorb the effects of the earlier practices, allowing a setting and a deeper coming back to centre and self.
This is spiritual practice, and regular practice inspires us to radiate with vitality and joy, lifting our spirits, strengthening our immune system and improving our general wellbeing in the process. You might support this session with our online Sunday evening breathing classes.
